Brogen
Brogen’s electric drive axle has been successfully deployed in 120 electric buses delivered to Kyrgyzstan in June 2025, marking another step in global sustainable mobility powered by Chinese innovation.
All 120 electric buses delivered in this project are equipped with Brogen’s electric portal axle ( model OEEA2100N ), offering reliable and consistent power for daily operation. The buses feature a fresh, modern exterior with panoramic windows and spacious, well-lit interiors. To meet local transit standards, the vehicles were built to full EU specifications and passed side-rollover safety tests, significantly improving overall safety and durability. This will greatly enhance daily commuting comfort for residents in Bishkek.
The eAxle OEEA2100N is engineered for 13-ton axle loads and integrates two 160 kW motors. So we call this distributed-drive electric axle solution.
Our distributed-drive electric axle solution features dual motors integrated directly into the axle assembly, delivering both weight savings and improved power efficiency for the vehicle. This architecture enables independent torque and speed control for each motor, resulting in enhanced responsiveness and precision handling.
In addition to performance benefits, the dual-motor design offers built-in redundancy—if one motor encounters a fault, the other continues operating, maintaining drive continuity and enhancing overall system safety.
It supports low-floor vehicle design, improving passenger comfort and accessibility. The product is E-mark certified and well suited for articulated and double-decker buses. It also features a proven electronic differential system and delivers a tire replacement interval of over 100,000 km—highlighting its maturity and durability in real-world operations.

Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, is undergoing rapid urbanization. As the population grows, increasing traffic congestion has become a major challenge for the city. Historically, public transportation in Bishkek relied heavily on minibuses, which were affordable and flexible but suffered from aging fleets, high emissions, and poor passenger experience. Overcrowding and safety concerns were also persistent problems.
In response, the Kyrgyz government has accelerated public transit modernization efforts over the past two years. By investing in new buses and expanding routes, the city aims to build a greener and more efficient transportation network. The introduction of electric buses manufactured in China provides a practical, clean-energy solution to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce environmental impact.

According to the city’s transport authority, Bishkek—as the national capital—deserves high-quality, modern public transport. The deployment of Chinese-made electric buses is helping address long-standing traffic and infrastructure issues. Since their launch, the buses have received positive feedback from the public, with residents praising their spaciousness, cleanliness, and comfort. Drivers have also welcomed the upgrades. Most importantly, the zero-emission buses offer a significant environmental benefit for the city’s future.
